2007年8月2日から5日までカリフォルニア州ラホヤ市においてPanCANが主催した「膵臓がんサミット」のセッションを収録した動画です。膵癌と生物学の著名な研究者が参加して開かれた当会議では、膵癌に関する未発表の研究成果も含めたレビューがプレゼンされ、今後5年間の「機会と挑戦」についての対話的な議論がなされました。
議題は2つの領域に焦点を合わせました―― 「早期発見」と「治療開発」。会議の結果は、アイデアと調査結果を広く告知するために白書として出版される予定です。 また、この意見交換会は、膵臓がんの研究分野において協働作業を奨励する意図もあります。最終的に、この白書はPanCANの支援する研究ポートフォリオと国立ガン研究所（NCI）の研究活動の方向を形成し、それを実現するための私たちのアドボカシー（政策提言・権利擁護）活動の指針となるでしょう。
